Ashley is an experienced sports physiotherapist graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in 2017 from AUT and is currently completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy.

Ashley regularly works with young athletes from a top 4 netball secondary school, New Zealand representative’s and recently New Zealand Men’s level netball players. Ashley has recently returned from the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary with the New Zealand Senior Women’s Water Polo team (currently 10th in the world).

Ashley’s physiotherapy philosophy is to treat the whole athlete looking beyond the physical factors and considering lifestyle, environmental factors, beliefs, and general wellbeing. This ensures she creates individualized rehabilitation plans that are appropriate and achievable for each client. Education plays an important role in Ashley’s treatment plans with a strong focus on creating fair understanding about recovering from their injury. Ashley has completed her integrated dry needling course and utilizes this regularly with excellent outcomes.

The highlight of Ashley’s career to date she travelled to Europe in 2022 with the New Zealand Women’s Water Polo Team as they prepared for their world championship competition in France and Hungary.

Ashley has just arrived in Wellington from Auckland and is looking forward to exploring our beautiful city. She is rarely seen without a coffee in her hand, and you’ll probably spot her at various sport games or out on a walk after work and in the weekends. Born and bred in the Waikato, Ashley is a true Chief’s fan (we don’t hold it against her).
